Every year, Volunteers Week gives us the chance to pause and say a heartfelt thank you to the people who make everything we do possible. This year, we celebrated in fine style at the Kings Langley Local Charity Event, and what a day it was.
Our Trust Manager was proud to attend the Kings Langley Local Charity Event alongside our wonderful volunteer Sarah, where they were honoured to meet the Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Liz Green OBE. It was an afternoon filled with conversation and community spirit. Events like this are a beautiful reminder of just how much can be achieved when people come together in the spirit of giving.
Why Volunteers Matter
At Dacorum Community Trust, our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. Whether it is supporting local residents, delivering community programmes, or simply being a friendly voice when one is needed most, our volunteers give something that cannot be bought: their time, their energy, and their care.
Sarah is just one example of the extraordinary individuals who show up for our community, week after week, without hesitation. We are incredibly grateful to her, and every single person who chooses to volunteer with us.
Could You Be Our Next Volunteer?
Volunteers Week 2026 is the perfect moment to take the leap. Volunteering with Dacorum Community Trust is a rewarding, flexible, and genuinely meaningful experience. No matter your background, skills, or availability, there is a place for you with us.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering opportunities, we would love to hear from you.
