We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Redbourn Golf Club’s Senior Charity Golf Day has raised an incredible £2,463 for Dacorum Community Trust. The event was a tremendous success, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who took part, donated, and made the day such a memorable occasion.
This opportunity came about thanks to Philip, one of our trustees and a proud member of Redbourn Golf Club, who put Dacorum Community Trust forward as the benefiting charity. We are enormously grateful to Philip for his support in securing this fantastic fundraising opportunity and for helping to raise awareness of our work amongst the club’s members and guests.

Rosemary who is in charge of finance, was on hand throughout the day selling raffle tickets, with some truly amazing prizes. Our Chair, Tony, and Trust Manager, Dena, also attended the lunch, where they had the opportunity to speak to guests about the work the Trust does in our local community.
For those who may not be familiar with us, Dacorum Community Trust is a small, independent charity that supports local people facing financial hardship who have nowhere else to turn. We provide help with essential household items such as beds and white goods, as well as energy, clothing, and supermarket vouchers. Our aim is to resolve immediate crises quickly and to signpost clients with more complex needs to other local organisations for further support.
To put the funds raised into perspective, £2,463 could provide between 50 and 60 families with energy, supermarket, or clothing vouchers – a lifeline for people who are struggling to meet the most basic of needs. During the 2025–2026 financial year, the Trust supported more than 1,000 local people in crisis and made 2,269 referrals to partner agencies for clients needing longer-term assistance. Every pound raised makes a genuine and direct difference to people in need.
